Ontario Movers for New Builds and Job Relocations
A lot of Ontario moves are set by a builder's closing date. Ontario Ranch, on the south side of the city, is the largest master-planned community in Southern California, and new neighborhoods of townhomes and detached houses keep opening there. The other common reason to move here is a job, at Ontario International Airport or in the region's warehouses and distribution centers. Those are two different kinds of moves, and we plan them differently.

Moving Into a New Build in Ontario Ranch
New construction comes with its own checklist. Before an Ontario Ranch move, we sort out:
- The closing date, and a plan B. Builder dates can slide. If yours does, we can load on the original day and hold everything in storage until you have the keys.
- Where the truck stops. Many newer Ontario townhomes and condos sit on private lanes, the streets with Privado in the name. A full-size truck may not fit in front of your door, so we decide ahead of time whether to park on the main street and carry, or bring in a smaller truck.
- Three-story floor plans. Townhomes with the garage on the ground floor put the bedrooms two flights up. Stairs take time, so they go into the estimate.
- A brand-new house. Fresh paint and new floors get runners and doorjamb pads. And a street that opened last month may not be on the truck's GPS yet, so we confirm the route and the community entrance with you.
Relocating for a Job at the Airport or a Warehouse
Job moves come with a start date and often an employer relocation policy. Ask HR what the policy covers, full packing or storage for example, before the estimate, so the quote matches it. We handle corporate relocation, and because we're an agent of North American Van Lines, a household coming from another state is a move we can take on. Interstate moves are priced on the shipment's weight and the miles it travels, with packing counted per unit, and a binding estimate means the figure in writing is the figure you pay, as long as the inventory, the services, the destination and the load date stay the same.
If your company is the one moving, into a building near the airport or anywhere else in town, our Ontario commercial movers handle office and business moves.
Before You Book an Ontario Move
How much do movers charge per hour in Ontario?
Rates change, so we give the current hourly rate on the phone at 1.858.360.1569 instead of posting it here. Local moves, including most from Los Angeles or San Diego County, are priced on the clock, crew and truck together, which makes the number of hours the real variable. In Ontario those depend on truck access, stairs and how much is packed before we arrive. The estimate is free, with a Relocation Consultant walking through your home or our Inside Sales team looking at it over video, and it comes in writing.
We're moving up from San Diego. Where do we start?
With an estimate at your San Diego home, in person or over video. Most of the drive is straight up I-15. Then read our San Diego to Ontario relocation tips.
