Movers for Palm Desert's Gated Golf Communities
A Palm Desert move often starts or ends at a guardhouse. Ironwood, Indian Ridge, Palm Valley, Desert Falls and The Lakes are all gated golf communities, and each association sets its own rules for vendors, movers included, so planning the move here starts with the gate.

Before the Truck Reaches the Gatehouse
We sort out access with you and the HOA before moving day, at both ends if you're going from one club to another. The usual checklist:
- The gate list. The guard needs our company name and your moving date. If we're missing, the crew waits at the entrance while someone tries to reach you.
- Move hours. Many associations only let vendors in during set hours. We ask about weekends and holidays as well, and size the crew so a full house fits inside the window.
- Proof of insurance. Some HOAs want a certificate of insurance on file before a mover can work inside the gates. Ask the management office early and we'll send ours.
- The carry. We confirm where the truck can stand on a street shared with golf carts, and how far the crew walks from there to the front door, a detached casita or an upper-level condo.
Moving on the Snowbird Calendar
Palm Desert runs on two seasons. Part-time residents arrive in the fall and leave in spring, before the heat, and roughly January through April is high season, when the clubs are busiest. If you want a moving date in those months, book well ahead.
A snowbird move isn't always a whole house. You might send a few rooms out from San Diego in the fall, take a load back in spring, or close up the desert house and keep the furniture in storage through the summer. The warehouse is secure and bar-coded, and your things stay there until you call for them.
Club to Club, and Along El Paseo
Plenty of moves here stay in the valley: a condo in one club to a house in another, or a downsizing move into a 55+ community such as Palm Desert Greens, with help from our senior moving team. The galleries, boutiques and offices along El Paseo, the mile-long shopping street with sculpture down its median, relocate too, and our commercial movers handle those.

Palm Desert Moving Questions
How much do movers cost in Palm Desert?
There's no flat number, because a Palm Desert quote turns on details we need to see: the gate and HOA rules, the carry from the truck to your door, the time of year and any storage. A Relocation Consultant can visit for a free estimate, or you can do it by phone or video with an Inside Sales Representative; either way, it comes to you in writing. Short moves are billed hourly for the truck and crew, and moves past roughly 150 miles are priced on the weight of your shipment and the miles, with packing charged unit by unit. From San Diego County it can go either way, depending on your exact addresses, and we'll walk you through which method applies when we quote.
Can the price change after the estimate?
For a move priced by weight, you can have a binding or non-binding estimate. With a binding one, you won't pay more unless items or services are added, the delivery address changes or the load date moves.
What can't go on the truck?
Anything flammable or corrosive, which in a desert house usually means pool chlorine and acid, propane tanks and gas cans. Use them up, give them to a neighbor or take them to a household hazardous waste drop-off before moving day.
